</div><div style="text-align: center;">I discovered circular needles the other day, and let me tell you something... I LOVE THEM!<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I started knitting my first sweater which is a hooded baby sweater. I will post pictures of it when I'm finished, but as I was casting on stitches to my regular needles they were so squished together that it made knitting really uncomfortable. I thought about how I could combat this situation for a good minute and remembered I had gotten a circular needle at the craft store I thought was too long for what I was originally going to use it for... Boy.. I'm glad I did not return it. The length was just perfect for the size of this sweater. Needless to say I was super stoked on that, and it sure does make knitting easier. I totally recommend anyone who has not tried circular needles and uses those super long needles to try them out. <br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I am getting a little more adventurous with my knitting as I learn more and more cool techniques that are involved. Here is a picture of a skull wristband I made for my boyfriend. I will be making more of these in different colors, and experimenting with different weights of yarn to see which ones come out best, but isn't this cool! I really do love knitting and yarn crafts. I kick myself for not picking this up sooner. <br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This is my Intarsia Knitting Practice piece. <br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">A Black and Grey checkerboard wristband. <br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">It came out rather well I would say for being the first time I ever tried knitting intarsia, or with more than one color at the same time. I had about 8-10 different yarn balls hanging off this thing. It was such a challenge to not tangle them together. However in the end it paid off and I now know how to knit in intarsia the correct way without any holes in my knitting. I'm rather satisfied with that, because now I can make some really awesome patterns. <br />

</div>My first knitting project was a simple kids scarf I made for my son. Making this scarf was exciting and fun considering it was my first. I wanted to post some pictures with how well it turned out. Granted there are a few mistakes in the knitting because I somehow increased where I shouldn't have while learning to do the garter stitch. I also added tassels at the ends to give it a little bit more color and flare. It makes me smile each time my son wears his scarf which also makes him feel special because mommy made it especially for him.<br />
<br />
I have a few more projects in which I have completed and will be updating with additional pictures when I can obtain them.Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15374793182372009294noreply@blogger.com0
